Make a list, check it twice

Leaving things to the last minute adds unnecessary stress. Plan a day for your food shop and make a list of all that you need and for the number of guests you will have over. Don’t forget nibbles for the days round Christmas when unexpected visitors might pop by.

The Gift of Giving

So you’ve started your Christmas shopping and day by day, you are starting to run out of hiding places under beds or behind the sofa for presents. Be super organised and wrap each gift as you buy it. Then bundle them together and neatly place them in your wardrobe. The smaller items can be hidden in your sock drawer.

Know your space

Know how many visitors you will have on Christmas Day so you can make sure everyone comfortably fits.

Bring on the bubbly!

A celebratory occasion deserves a fully stocked and well-presented drinks cabinet. Perhaps offer a signature cocktail and then serve wine. No need to go overboard though and know your space. Anything not used, save for New Year's Eve. Be sure to have some nice non-alcoholic drinks for the drivers or those who don’t drink.

And finally, be present!

Having as much as you can prepared prior to the event makes you a better host. Ask for a hand with serving throughout the day so you too can be mingling and enjoying your guests' company.
