Bedrooms are at the core of our everyday lives, they need to be calming spaces away from the fast and frenetic pace of day-to-day life. Surprisingly, bedrooms are often overlooked when it comes to redecorating and interior spending. We prefer to invest in what our guests see; our living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. Now, it looks like that’s all set to change, as the top interior designers turn their attention towards bedrooms.
Aside from your bed, the most essential piece of furniture in any bedroom is the wardrobe.  Often our wardrobes are just too small, cluttered with disused fashions and a cause of daily frustration. At Sliderobes, we create solutions to these common problems, and our latest project was no different. This beautiful double-angled wardrobe was designed to create that sense of calm – on both sides of the sliding doors.

The fitting

The first challenge was the shape of the room.  Because of the double angles and the central window, the homeowners weren’t convinced they could create storage for all of their clothes. Sliderobes' designers, however, have a reputation for finding great solutions for awkward spaces.  These angled doors slide easily under the eaves allowing every inch of space to be used for that much-needed storage. The designer also worked with the customer to get the perfect mix of, easily accessible hanging space, drawers and shoe storage.

The softly tinted glass doors excellently frame the fabulous views from that central window. For added Hollywood glamour, the mirrored dressing table is the perfect addition to the room. It creates a beautiful and comfortable space in-between the wardrobe and underneath the window. This little beauty spot adds a luxury feel to the daily ritual of getting ready in the morning.

Inspired by

Milan Fashion week introduced brown as the new black for Autumn 2018, and that has translated through to interiors too. The woody hues of the dark interior finish of this wardrobe bring richness to the décor of the room while still keeping an airy and calm feel with modern grey glass doors. The earthy décor compliments the beautiful countryside views you can see outside the dressing area window. The room is now fit for a queen; peaceful, bright with a hint of opulence.

Look closely at the rich dark wood of the inner panel of the wardrobe beside the dressing table. Statement jewellery elegantly hangs on bell knobs from our beautiful selection of handles. This idea was imagined by our team as a way to display the owner's jewellery. Again, Sliderobes is rewriting the rules in wardrobe design.
